Creativity is endless with Red Barn Spreads

 

Cinnamon Raisin Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)

  • 1/2 cup shortening

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 3/4 cup flour

  • 2 teaspoons Cream of tartar

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup sugar & 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup Cinnamon Raisin Butter

Preparation: Preheat oven to 400F. Mix together sugar, butter, shortening, and eggs. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Shape the dough into balls. Roll the balls into the cinnamon and sugar mix, placing 2" apart on a floured pan. Create a pocket in the balls and fill with 1/2-1 teaspoon of Cinnamon Raisin Butter. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Cocoa Date Brownies 

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 1 egg

  • ¼ tsp vanilla

  • ¼ cup butter

  • 2 tbsp + 2 tsp cocoa powder

  • ⅛ tsp salt

  • 3 tsp Cocoa Date Spread

 

Preparations: 

Preheat oven to 350℉.

Beat sugar, eggs, and vanilla. 

Pour dry mix into wet mix. Add Cocoa Date. 

Bake 15-20 minutes. 

 

Ro's Healthy Date Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup Stevia
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 3/4 cup 7 grain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (any nut)
  • 1 cup Date Butter
     

Preparation: Preheat oven 400 F and spray a 9x13 baking pan. Mix sugar, Stevia, butter and coconut until smooth. Add flour, salt, baking soda, oats, and nuts. Spead 1/2 mixture evenly in the pan. Spread date butter on top. Sprinkle the rest of the dough on top of the date spread. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Cinnamon Date Cake

Ingredients: 

For Cake: 

  • 2 cups of Cinnamon Date Spread

  • 3 cups flour

  • 4 eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • Pinch of salt

  • ¾ cup of butter

For Glaze: 

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

 

Preparations: 

Preheat oven to 350℉.

In a large bowl, add dry ingredients, and mix gently with a fork. 

Add in wet ingredients, beat with hand mixer. Pour into a greased, slightly floured floured metal loaf pan

Bake for 40 to 50 minutes. 

For glaze, Mix all ingredients and brush on top of cake.
